Description[]
Beyond the Barricades is a side quest available in the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fatesworn DLC expansion pack. It becomes available to the Fateless One after speaking to Captain Koch near the Crownhold Garrison in Crownhold City.

Open the Mountain Road[]
There are a total of four deserter barricades that must be cleared on the road the leads west and then climbs north from Crownhold City to the summit of Crow Peak. Each barricade is guarded by one or two dozen deserters well-equipped with heavy armor, spears, longswords, daggers, and longbows. As Captain Koch warned, these deserters are highly disciplined, well-trained, and effective combatants. They often rely on their sheer weight of numbers and a combination of ranged and melee attacks to break through the enemy’s defense, interrupt counterattacks, and stagger them, leaving them vulnerable to attack. Use the Fateless One’s most powerful weapons and abilities to defeat the deserters and clear the barricades one-by-one.

- ”I’ve cleared the deserter barricades from the mountain road, allowing the movement of vital supplies into Crownhold. I should return to Captain Koch and give her the news.”
Return to Crownhold City and speak to Captain Koch to complete the quest and receive the Fateless One’s reward.
