Boots are a type of armor in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. They use the foot armor slot, similar to the Greaves of fighters or the Shoes of mages. Designed for use by rogue-style characters, all boots will have a Finesse requirement to equip them. They always add a bonus to Critical Hit Damage and can have a multitude of other enchantments. All boots provide the following effect:
- +5% Critical Hit Damage
Note: Boots will usually use the word "boots" within their name. However, some shoes for Sorcery characters are also referred to as "boots" (Boots of the Dark Empyrean and Children of Erathell Boots are two examples), so this can be somewhat confusing. Finesse vs. Sorcery requirements will determine whether the item is a boot or shoe.
Crafting Boots[]
- Main article: Blacksmithing
The Fateless One can craft boots at any Blacksmithing Forge by using a leather heel and a trim; rivets and bindings are optional components. With sufficient skill, mastercrafted boots that offer a bonus percentage to health can be created.
The Fateless One can also disassemble existing boots for salvage, recovering some of the above-mentioned components.
