Hillared Gastyr is a member of the Alfar Military and the last-living heir (at least officially) of the Gastyr family.

Just inside the entrance to Castle Gastyr in the South-West part of the Northern region of the Caeled Coast.

If you avoid completing the quest, Hillared will follow you around and fight alongside you, even when fast-traveling. As she cannot be killed, this can prove beneficial to the player.
