Moves are special attacks unlocked through Abilities that function differently to Basic Attacks. There are multiple types of Moves accessible to the Fateless One:

  • Equipment Moves - conditional variations of weapon attacks
  • Ability Moves - Moves that can be cast independent of equipped weapons with their own real estate on the control scheme
    • Active Abilities - abilities that have immediately obvious and impactful effects and cost a set amount of Mana to cast
    • Sustained Abilities - toggle abilities that have passive effects and cost a percentage of the player's maximum Mana to cast, which is prevented from regenerating until the ability is deactivated.

Equipment Moves[]

Equipment specific Moves are unlocked through the Brutal Weaponry, Precise Weaponry, Arcane Weaponry, Assassin's Art, Arrow Storm and Scattershot abilities.

Equipment Moves apply damage-over-time effects from weapons and reward Fate Energy if the third level of the respective ability is unlocked. They offer unique control effects and damage patterns and can only be self-interrupted by active abilities.

Ability Moves[]

Active Abilities are often highly impactful, reward Fate Energy and can be used to self-interrupt a lot of player actions. However, self-interrupting an Active Ability is highly idiosyncratic between different Abilities.
