Roth Garver is a male Almain mercenary currently residing in Gale Crossing village. Originally hailing from the village of Emaire, Roth came to Mithros with his friend Niels MacNutter hoping to find employment as a mercenary. Those hopes were dashed when The Preordained refused to accept their service. After Niels disappeared Roth started drinking at the Gemstone Tavern. It was there, according to rumor, that he met and began a romantic relationship with Beatrice Beck (a relationship that Beatrice herself is quick to deny exists). One evening he and Beatrice were attacked by the Night Barghest. Roth was unable to leave so much as a mark in the beast with his sword, and ever since that fateful encounter he's been obsessed with hunting down and killing the Night Barghest.

The Fateless One first encounters Roth Garver during the Night Barghest side quest. They can speak to him to learn more about the Night Barghest.

Location[]

Roth Garver can either be found inside the Gemstone Tavern in Gale Crossing or at his tent in Three Winds Crutch.
