Spiders are common throughout Amalur, dwelling mostly in dark, damp places such as abandoned castles, castle basements, or caves. A significant population of spiders can also be found in Webwood.
Spiders mostly attack in groups of 3-7 and most often as an ambush, quickly appearing and surrounding their target. Spiders prefer attacking from afar using webs to immobilize their prey or venom to weaken it, but are decent in close combat with fast, lunging attacks. All spiders are weak to Fire and resistant to Poison.
Internally, Spiders are considered beasts (when it comes to damage modifiers, like Pillager's components), and offhanding a beast-property weapon will indeed increase the primary weapon's damage dealt.
