Stolen Ticket is a side quest available as part of the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning exclusive Fatesworn DLC.
Walkthrough[]
Find the Border Intruder[]
After receiving this side quest from Private Sterling, proceed through the checkpoint onto The Westroad. Speak to Godric Payne near the blacksmith’s forge in the southeastern corner of the first encampment.
Recover the Stolen Border Permit[]
“A fiery Godric Payne had his Border Permit stolen by a thieving settler named Dolan Hardy. I must recover the documents and return them to Payne right away.”
Locate and speak to Dolan Hardy inside the encampment to confront him about the stolen Border Permit. After he denies your accusations of theft and refuses to hand the document over you can then recover it by pickpocketing him.
Deliver Border Permit to Godric Payne[]
“I’ve recovered the stolen Border Permit and should return it to Godric Payne, who resides in a small hovel along the mountain path.”
Return the recovered Border Permit to Godric Payne.
Read Elza’s Letter[]
“I’ve solved the mystery of the missing Border Permit, and it’s time to report my findings to Private Sterling. She will know what to do with the illegal settler, Dolan Hardy.”
Return to Dalentarth and speak to Private Sterling at the border checkpoint.
Find Godric Payne[]
“I’ve been made a fool. Private Sterling revealed that there is no Godric Payne on her list of expected settlers, and now the thief has absconded with a stolen Border Permit. I must find Payne and retrieve the documents.”
Return to the southern encampment on the Westroad and speak to Godric Payne. During the ensuing confrontation you’ll be presented with three conversation options:
- This is your last chance…: Godric Payne will attack if this option is chosen. The border permit can be recovered from his corpse.
- Give me the Permit… before I take it (PERSUASION): Successfully passing this persuasion check will result in immediate recovery of the stolen border permit. If unsuccessful, the first and third conversation options remain available.
- I’ll buy it from you: You can pay a bribe of 20,000 gold to recover the border permit.
Deliver Border Permit to Dolan Hardy[]
“I’ve dealt with Godric Payne and recovered Dolan Hardy’s stolen Border Permit. It’s time to return to the checkpoint and deliver the document to its rightful owner.”
Speak to Dolan Hardy to return his stolen border permit.
Return to Private Sterling[]
“Now that this whole Border Permit affair has ended, I should report back to Private Sterling for my reward.”
Return to Dalentarth and speak to Private Sterling at the border checkpoint to complete the side quest.
Reward[]
“A charlatan named[sic] Godric Payne attempted to steal a Border Permit for free passage between Mithros and Dalentarth, but I retrieved the documents before he could disappear into the mountains forever.”
