String is a type of support component in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It can be added to a piece of armor while blacksmithing.

There is a string called Master/Flawless Rigid Lining. However, the inventory card has the string icon at the top, and it shows up in the strings section during blacksmithing.
