A Stun is a condition that makes the affected enemy go to their knees and makes them unable to act for the duration. It is indicated by small stars floating above the affected enemy's head.
Mechanics[]
By default, a hit has a 0% Chance to stun. Chance to stun and stun duration can be acquired via a variety of unique or set items, and is granted by the Might Destiny. Note that Chance to stun scales only with an already existing chance, for example, if you have a hammer that grants "+10% Chance to stun", it will not make your hits stun with a 10% chance, but add chance to skills that can already stun, such as Storm Bolt.
Hitting a stunned enemy will remove the stun. While using Concussive Force, only the first hit on a stunned enemy will apply the bonus damage granted by the ability. When stunning a bigger enemy, such as a rock troll, stunning it while it is in its resistant state, the stun will persist through the player's hits, and apply bonus damage from Concussive Force throughout all hits.
Tips & Tricks[]
Due to the functionality described above, it may not be the best idea to focus stunned enemies, as that will remove the stun most of the time. Stunning enemies can give the player time to take out smaller and more annoying enemies first, which is especially useful when utilizing a weapon that is prone to interruption, such as a Hammer or a Greatsword.
