Amalur Wiki

The Blackened Hall is an ancient Erathi palace that was once the home of a lord named Lir, though it is unclear whether Lir was an Erathi or some other race. Lir married Aife, a lady who was actually a Niskaru in disguise, she slaughtered the lord and his servants and the Niskaru took control of the hall. The Fateless One is sent here by Grim Onwig to retrieve an artifact called the Glass of Ambient.

The Aisle of Flame must be passed through first, either with the aid of Buru's Boots, or through some other means, once the end is reached, an Erathi Sigilstone will deactivate it permanently. There is a Hidden Door located after this concealing a room with treasure. After this there is the Black Maze, which has hallways that will magically close when approached from one way, forcing a roundabout route.

  • There is a lootable box in a northern alcove just past the hidden room that is open when you first enter, but seals itself closed very soon after you enter. Once closed, it is unreachable. You will need to run to it fast in order to gain access; if you fail, the best way to get it is to reload from an earlier save. Correction 10/1/20: If you miss running inside, the adjacent wall of the secret room should open when you progress to the next door in the hallway. The hall door will open in front of you and the secret room wall will open behind you.
