Description[]
Eli Tems has requested that I steal Lord Kandrian's signet ring. He claims that he can use it to gain Lord Kandrian's help against the Tuatha raiders.
Walkthrough[]
- Talk to Eli Tems in The Raven in the town of Mel Aglir. He will ask you to steal Lord Indre Kandrian's ring.
- Travel to Kandrian Keep, take the ring and return to Eli.
- You can elect to kill Lord Kandrian instead of taking the ring, at which point all guards turn hostile. This does not count as a crime and the quest gets updated. Go back to Eli and he will reward you with gold. However, he will say that the community is angry about his death and people in the village can be heard referring to you as a murderer.
- Eli requests that you enchant the ring. Travel to the altar, place the ring upon it and defeat the Faer Gorta. Return to Eli.
- Now you must make a choice: Either take the cursed ring back to the keep to "assassinate" Kandrian or refuse to take it back.
- If you chose to "assassinate" Lord Kandrian return to the Keep, via Kandrian Cove, slip in undetected and place the ring back (same place you took it).
- If you refused then Eli will tell you there is no other way. You can sneak back into the keep and talk to Indre, but nothing will happen. Ultimately you'll have to return to Eli to get the ring back and continue the quest or leave the quest open.
- Once you've placed the ring back, get out of the keep undetected Return to Eli for your reward(XP and Gold, both level-based).

When you complete the task, Lord Indre Kandrian dies. His sister's son, Erion Rheidarn, becomes the new Lord. He vows to do his best as the new leader to drive the Tuatha from the region and restore Kandrian to former glory.
Sneaking through Kandrian Keep without being caught can be tricky, especially if your sneak skill isn't very high. Bringing a few Phasewalk potions can make the mission a little easier.
Bugs[]
It is not necessary to remain undetected, so long as you don't kill any of the guards. Quest still completes successfully even if you are detected both going in and coming out.
- Using Phasewalk doesn't even guarantee you will be undetected. But as long as you run away from guards instead of fighting, they'll lose sight quickly.
