Description[]

The Tree and the Branches is a side quest available in the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fatesworn DLC expansion pack. It becomes available to the Fateless One after reading Aiden O’Conor’s Diary.

Walkthrough[]

”Follow the instructions in druid Aiden O’Conor’s diary to find the pieces of his lost armor.”

Head to the sacred grove west of Revival. There the Fateless One will find Aiden O’Conor’s Diary atop a tree stump. Read the diary to receive the side quest and use the clues to find the pieces of the druid’s lost armor.

The Westroad[]

”In a cave along the newly formed Westroad that leads along the ancient trade routes.”

The first piece of Zyddie’s Armor Set can be found on The Westroad. From the region’s southernmost point, head north and then turn east. Once the Fateless One reaches the river swim to the southwestern end and use the Detect Hidden skill to open the hidden door. Once the door is open, proceed into the chamber to reach a rocky outcropping flanked by vines and Boggart masks on makeshift wooden tripods. The chest containing the first armor piece is found atop a large tree trunk on the outcropping.

Crow Peak[]

”Behind an icy barrier in the depths of lonely Crow Peak”

The second piece of Zyddie’s Armor Set can be found at the base of Crow Peak. From Crownhold City, head West and then turn north until the Fateless One reaches the second bandit barricade. Use the Detect Hidden skill to open the hidden door and then proceed into the secret chamber. The chest containing the armor piece can be found in the center of the chamber flanked by Boggart masks and broken branches.

Madding Wind[]

”At the foot of the long decayed sentry watching over Madding Wind.”

The third piece of Zyddie’s Armor Set can be found in Madding Wind. Proceed west from the fortress and cross the bridges until the Fateless One reaches a cave flanked by icy stalagmites. Use the Detect Hidden skill to open the hidden door and proceed into the secret chamber. The chest containing the armor piece can be found on an outcropping flanked by Boggart masks, broken branches, and more icy stalagmites.

Crownhold Lake[]

”Near the lone shrine by the life giving Crownhold lake.”

The fourth and final piece of Zyddie’s Armor Set can be found on the eastern shore of Crownhold Lake. The chest containing the final armor piece can be reached either by using the jump point on the stone shrine above or by walking through the overgrown thicket between the pillars. The chest containing the final armor piece can be found next to a tree stump flanked by Boggart masks and broken branches.
