I’ve noticed a mysterious letter in between my belongings. It seems to be from a person called Elza Postelthwaite. She has made a worrisome discovery and asked me to meet her near the Hall of the Firstsworn in Menetyre.

Unsettling News is the first quest available in the main storyline of the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning exclusive DLC Fatesworn. This quest becomes available upon reading the mysterious letter that appears in your inventory.
Walkthrough[]
Meet Elza near the Hall of the Firstsworn[]
After reading the mysterious letter found in your inventory proceed to the Hall of the Firstsworn located in the southwestern corner of Menetyre to speak to Elza Postelthwaite.
Defeat the Niskaru[]
“It seems I’m too late. The only thing I found near the Hall of the Firstsworn was Elza’s dead body. Just as I arrived, Niskaru appeared out of thin air and started attacking me. I need to defeat them before I can look around for clues.”
Upon arriving at the gates to the Hall of the Firstsworn you’ll discover Elza’s corpse surrounded by books, scrolls, and a pool of her own blood. As you near the corpse you’ll suddenly come under attack by three ambushing Niskaru Hunters.
Examine Elza’s Corpse[]
“I’ve dealt with the Niskaru, but I still need to find out what’s happened here. I should look around for clues, starting with Elza’s corpse. Maybe she has some answers.”
Once the Niskaru Hunters have been slain examine Elza’s corpse to find a note containing her last words.
Read Elza’s Letter[]
“I found a letter in Elza’s hands while investigating her corpse. It’s possible she wrote it just before dying. If so, it might contain some clues on what’s been going on here.”
Read Elwa’s last words contained in the note you discovered on her corpse.
Talk to Agarth[]
“Elza’s letter contained some unsettling news about Niskaru appearing out of thin air and about the Weave falling apart. She thinks we need to get the Order of Fateweavers involved. Maybe I should pay my old pal Agarth a visit and talk to him about the discoveries she made.”
Travel to the city of Rathir. Upon arrival ascend to the upper city and head towards the Orbocant where you’ll be intercepted by Sergeant Bromm. This will complete the current quest and immediately lead into the subsequent quest: The New God.
